Turner Hall Ballroom - Simply One Of The Best Wedding Venues in Milwaukee

Turner Hall Ballroom is located right across from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At this point I have seen a huge variety of different wedding venues, all kinds of different locations across the country. I keep coming back to this venue in my mind as one of my all time favorites!

This is what a lot of newer wedding venues are trying to capture when they are constructing a new building with exposed brick and an industrial feel. There is such an incredible historic feel to the entire building.

While I was here in late summer I would easily say that this is a great wedding venue year round. Even in a Milwaukee winter, when it is much easier and less competitive to get this space booked!

I love the elegant and classy vibe of the space. It really makes you feel like you're in a movie from the 1920’s. Which makes sense because the building was actually built in 1882.

There is actually a ton of windows! This makes taking photos much easier, natural light is always better than anything else. When the sun does go down though, the interior lights are nice and even, and photograph well.

The entire venue because of the interior lights and the colors of the wood and materials, photographs very warm. I don’t mean the temperature, I am talking about the color palette! Just something to keep in mind.

The main ballroom has two levels, and the upper level has a balcony that goes around two of the walls. It really adds a sense of scale that makes the space feel even larger than it is, and it is quite large. There is a reason there are concerts and other events here too!

I really like the upper area and cocktail lounge. It is also super fun to be up top and have that vantage point and perspective for my photos.

With such a large open space, I don’t think I would recommend a smaller wedding here. There is not many places to hide and I believe it might feel a little empty.

While we are in the heart of Milwaukee, there is plenty of photo locations nearby. I love the proximity to the river and river walk area, which generally is a great area to photograph. There is also some small parks nearby if you’d like a little more green in your photos.

It is very easy to step outside for some fresh air and variety to the day.

There is of course also the option for a quick drive or even a boat ride down the Milwaukee River to the lake front! The entire lakefront area always yields some great photos.
